The main race of Formula 2 made an immediate false start. At the start, there was a heavy crash between Enzo Fittipaldi and Theo Pourchaire, which brought the race to a halt just moments after the start.
Pourchaire's ART stalled on the grid and Fittipaldi hit the car hard from behind. A red flag was soon shown and the rest of the field returned to the pits. It is not yet clear how the drivers are doing. The medical car was quickly at the scene, but there is no live footage of what is happening there at the moment.
The day already started strangely for Formula 2. There was confusion before the start, which was postponed due to track repairs following a crash in the Porsche class. This was followed by a message that the session would be interrupted, but it turned out that this was only for the start procedure. A few moments after that message, the drivers went out on track for their formation lap.
Pourchaire seems to be okay, according to the circumstances. He gave a thumbs-up when he was put in the ambulance, drawing loud applause from the crowd. Fittipaldi is being transported to hospital by helicopter. He gave a sign of life and is conscious, but it is not yet clear how he is doing.
I've read the article, then i started to scroll and look at comments already posted. Surprisingly or not, there is a lot of garbage on this page, all coming from one user. Other pages have other trolls. So the question, why aren't these trash talkers banned from this site? I've done my part, reported them, i'm sure others have as well. I don't know what the admin of the site is waiting for. This is not tolerable! Do you want this place to be a clean and respectable one? Or do you prefer mud just for the clicks?
So you are the one reporting folks. You cannot compete in the blog so you try to get people banned. Really?
Compete? :))) You're a total joke, man. I can't lower myself to your level. I mean, i could, but i won't. But hey, to each their own. I can't be upset with you, but i do have to draw a line, and hope the site administrator acts on it. You don't belong here...
@EauRouge74 So you are basically admitting that VER cannot win the title without intervention from the FIA to LIMIT the number of originally scheduled races? Why don't we let them race and settle it on track. I don't have a preference on which wins but whoever does it should be on merit.

Strange conclusion. Am admitting nothing. Fear for a big crash after having seen the F2 race.
Maybe Hamilton is out after turn one and Verstappen WDC due to that...
It's a risky track. If you don't take my word, ask Nico Rosberg. Let's hope nobody gets badly hurt at the end of this weekend. Safety has vastly improved, but motorsport is motorsport. Always dangerous.
Pit stop rules were adapted by FIA due to a non excisting safety problem.
Some drivers think this circuit is too dangerous to drive.
Chaos in F2.
Does FIA have the balls too cancel this race? Or does priviliged posterboy Hamilton in that case not have enough opportunity to become WDC.
