Continued confidence in Verstappen: 'He will still be world champion'
Max Verstappen saw his leading position in the world championship disappear last weekend. The Dutchman came through a damaged car not further than tenth place, while Hamilton finished in the top three. Nevertheless, Tom Coronel keeps faith in his fellow countryman.
The Red Bull Racing driver seemed to be heading for a wonderful summer break. Before the British Grand Prix he was more than 30 points ahead in the world championship and had the form to go on holiday with a good lead. However, nothing was further from the truth. After the race in Hungary, he was even slightly behind.
Confidence in Verstappen
Coronel told in conversation with the Algemeen Dagblad that he was disappointed with the incidents of the last two weeks. "I try to be objective, but I can't. I'm too involved. I am too involved. But I had contact with Max after the race and he remained so calm himself. Then I have to be too."
However, the analyst still has faith in Verstappen. "Normally Red Bull is the team that develops best during the season. So yes, he will still be world champion. It will just be decided in the last corner of the last lap in the last race."
Verstappen could win the title but dobt if he will , his driving is abit aggressive at times when he's being over taken and blocking the move in a dangerous way at times,but other times he's moved on other drivers can be outstanding, if he can put smart over takes on other drivers and drives smartly then he could win the title this year, red bull and Mercedes are blaming each other for thing which are happening on the track which is unnecessary, it's the drivers which makes the mistakes and sometimes it's just a racing incident as thay say, it's not done on purpose, I wish both drivers in the title race this year, beat of luck to the both of you and may the best man win
Yeah verstappen could be world champion this year but I doubt it, him and the red bull team have to out smart Mercedes and at this point I dont think thay are . Verstappen driving has to change in some races I've seen he can be to aggressive when some one is over taking him. So I think hes style of driving got to change if he wants to beat hamilton to the title, as for bottas he just made a racing error to make up places he lost at the start of the last race ,good luck to both Hamilton and verstappen for the rest of the season, may the best driver win
Hamilton can win the world championship even if you give him a Mahindra. He is too good for everyone. Wait and see how he will increase that point gap after the break. Crushtarppen will never win a championship as long as Sir Lewis is still driving.

If this and if that. woulda, coulda, shoulda. People try too hard to script the season's outcome in advance rather than just enjoy the racing. One team will perhaps out-develop the other and one may have better fortunes. I really do think this is a Red Bull vs Mercedes battle, not a Max vs Lewis battle as both are highly unlikely to crack under pressure. Both will get the most out of their cars and it is the teams' responsibility to give them good equipment.
Max can easily win the title against shamilton. He just needs to make Helmut and spice boy shut up. And merc has to stop going kamikaze into the rbs then only can they win. if that doesn't happen its game over
if max changes ahis approach and admits his mistakes and learns he has a good chance of winning this year.
The car is good, the engine is good so is the team it is his ego and his 3 dads which are causing the problem.

For all of Max's bad luck, and all of Hams's good fortune, all that Hams had to show for it is an 8 point lead.
Hams could have a 41 point lead right now if he didn't lock up at Baku going from first to last and didn't start the race on inters yesterday like a fool.
Partly true....however, its a given that luck is not evenly divided over the grid and Lewis never has such sequences of races! Its partly an ability to stay out of trouble, but that was not an issue here. Max has just been terribly unlucky 3 times in very close succession. Its kinda crazy, but the real crazy thing is that I would have no problems waging my mortgage on a bet that Lewis will not have 3 of these races in the second half of the season!
