Nikita Bedrin led AIX racing home for their first F3 win as Arvid Lindblad had a quiet sprint race. The Red Bull junior finished in P15. AIX become the 10th team of the season to finish on the podium.
Joseph Loake made a mistake lining up on the grid, meaning the field went back around the Hungaroring for an extra formation lap. When the race finally got underway, it was a clean first sector for the 30 cars, but later on in the lap, a virtual safety car was deployed after Matias Zagazeta retired from suspension damage after contact. Second place starter for the feature race Nikola Tsolov had to pit after making contact with the virtual safety car. AIX's Nikita Bedrin led the early stages, but Ferrari junior Dino Beganovic was on his tail. Young British driver and Red Bull Arvid Lindblad qualified in 21st yesterday after a red flag in qualifying. In the early stages, Lindblad was making up places.
Beganovic attempted to overtake Bedrin on lap 10 but locked up at turn two, and dropped into third place. Further down the field, championship contenders Luke Browning and Leo Fornaroli battled for seventh. Brit Browning's incident yesterday caused the red flag which sabotaged Lindblad's qualifying session. It was a quiet race from Lindblad, who finished in 15th place. Bedrin managed to lead until the end of the race, keeping his teammate Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak behind.
