Max Verstappen is spending a lot of time on his own plane these days. Following his departure from Azerbaijan last Sunday evening after the Baku Grand Prix, the reigning World Champion left for Miami for a trip across the ocean in the course of Tuesday. The streets of Miami Gardens will host the next race on Sunday.
Busy times for the Red Bull Racing driver and his colleagues, but that apparently does not bother the Dutchman at all. "I’m looking forward to Miami, it was a very physical track and also really hot there last year, so we need to be prepared for that," he revealed in a press release from his team.
Red Bull won all Grands Prix this season, plus the only sprint race. In advance, you would think that the Austrians would be the team to beat in Florida too. Verstappen, however, is not as outspoken. He said: "It’s definitely not going to be easy. It’s quite a complex circuit and I think they resurfaced the track again this year so let’s see how that impacts our performance."
Red Bull Racing has been running with a similar livery on the car for years. It will surely take some getting used to when the cars of Verstappen and teammate Sergio Perez turn onto the track on Friday for first practice. This is because Red Bull will be having a different livery in Miami. "Our fans also designed the livery this weekend, so I’m excited to see what that looks like!" Verstappen said.
There will be plenty of heat in Miami and not just in the weather.
I'd love to go, but F1 tickets are way too expensive in the US! It is cheaper for US fans to go to Montreal or Europe, even accounting for international flights, which is insane. Something needs to change. Otherwise, 3 or 4 races yearly will not be sustainable in the US.
Montreal is always a great race and if you have US dollars you get an exchange rate that gives you more buying power. I'm not sure about the race in Mexico, is it expensive? The dollar is insanely good against the Mexican peso too.
Canada is actually one of the cheapest ones, along with Hungary. I am planning to go next year (this year I will be in Europe in June for the ParisAirshow). I love Montreal and it must be stunning in early June. I think that Mexico has become pretty pricy recently.
Thing is that they don't care about accommodating the real fans. They just care about the rich. As long as the rich are buying the tickets, they are happy, look at the Vegas prices.
That's pretty sad and crazy at the same time. As long as people are willing to pay such prices, they will carry on. That's unfortunate.
Yes, for better or worse, there's so much wealth in the US that there's always someone willing to throw a few thousand dollars (per person) to sit in the grandstand of an F1 race.
I paid $90 with fees to attend the Friday Practice. Race and Qualifying are too expensive.
Well thats steep for a practice session as well, normally one Saturday evening the unsold tickets get sold for a cheaper price, thats worked for me a few times, should give it a try . Enjoy thou its great you're gonna be track side .
In Britain, we need to spend several hundred pounds for a good seat and parking.........F1 is an expensive sport to watch from the grandstand. Ive see almost every GP on track, and the cheapest tickets were in Asia. Ive seen Malaysian Gp and Indian GP in 10 quid (Grandstand seat only).
Imola is very cheap as well. They still have 3 days tickets in front of the starting grid for $850. It's a lot, but peanuts compared to other places.
Well I don't know about that the 3 day Campus access ticket for 3 days , thats the walkabout general access ticket, is 490$, thats a little more expensive than the Singapore price for a similar ticket . https://am.ticketmaster.com/f1miamigp/23CampusPass?_gl=1*1m6k1bx*_ga*NTE1NTc2NzM4LjE2ODMwODQ5OTA.*_ga_HRPZRQ84YC*MTY4MzA4NDk5MS4xLjEuMTY4MzA4NTA1MC4zLjAuMA..&_ga=2.164256122.417345336.1683084990-515576738.1683084990
Reasonably priced according to each countries economic demographic. Offcourse if you live in Hungary ??, Las Vegas is ridiculously expensive. While if you live in Las Vegas, thats actually reasonable ticket prices for a 3 day event with entertainment ?

Its that true?? Thats quite insane then... What would it cost you to go to the MIA race weekend? I went to Spa, Austria and Zandvoort earlier...I think $275-400 for weekend tickets on Silver grandstands and could drive by car
I don't know if they are comparable, but a 3-day ticket (grandstand in front of the starting grid) in Miami is about $2000. Next year, I'll plan my summer European trip around the F1 calendar ;-)
