It is not (yet) the season of Sebastian Vettel. The German missed the first two Grands Prix due to corona. At his season debut in Melbourne, he was forced to park his Aston Martin during practice after losing engine power.
When the session was over, Vettel drove a marshal's scooter back to the pits. Apparently the FIA stewards were not happy about this: they penalized this ride with a 5000 euro fine, because Vettel would have gone back onto the track without permission. Vettel himself claimed that permission had been granted.
Motorsport.com Asked Vettel about the penalty. The German was clearly not happy. He indicated that he thought it was a joke and that he would like to know what happens to these fines. For example, Vettel cited where the fifty thousand euro fine of Verstappen and Hamilton went after they touched a car in parc ferme after qualifying last season?
Vettel will start in Melbourne from the seventeenth position. The first weeks of the season have shown that his Aston Martin is among the worst cars in the field. Teammate Lance Stroll is one spot behind the four-time world champion.
Have you got your little finger in that pie perhaps Kiraann. Why take the poor man out for asking a question. Without nobody buying the sponsors products everyday the sport wont exist. So its the publics right to ask questions. Maby you should stick to a scooter back home. Or a fake cardboard car.
What corruption, lol , I grew up in Jordan where the current FIA president used to come and race WRC, and his car Marlboro Toyota Celtic Awd always won over Mechel Saleh and or the other Rothmans Porsche guy I forget his name.
So the Ferrari Marlboro connection hits again and installs an FIA president.
Did anyone notice how he was just pushing for the race to go on in Saudi and didn’t even blink about rockets attacks only 6 km from the
Drivers
Spectators
And the track in Jeddah.
Wow what a one sided president and what corruption are you guys talking about.
Wasn't McLaren handed $100 millions or something for espionage case. I won Spanish GP VIP tickets to McLaren garage that year, but then as espionage case came, these tickets were changed to ordinary tickets by one of McLaren sponsors at that time. So thanks McLaren!
Anyway this was the time I asked myself the same question, where does this money go.
