The Dutch Grand Prix is just around the corner and according to Weather.com it could be an exciting edition. On Sunday rain is predicted, while the previously expected rain for Saturday has disappeared.

This weekend, Circuit Zandvoort will host the second edition of the Dutch GP since its return to the F1 calendar. Max Verstappen won the 2021 edition and is also the favourite prior to the 2022 edition. In Belgium the Red Bull Racing driver was able to beat all his rivals.

It will all come down to driving skills....................

And the best car mate, lots of drivers have skills , but the machinery the have makes the diffrence.

I hope there's no rain though, we wanna see clean racing.

The first not clean racing was in Belgium. HAM ----> ALO. Off course he knew ALO was there. He tried to pass him didn't he? He knows ALO a few years, so he knows ALO doesn't back out.

I was referring to wet racing and the potential of safty cars at the next race.

Sorry if my post was confusing the issue .

Then it is still clean. But I get the point. ;)

A good car certainly helps even in the rain. But a driver can make the difference way more than in the dry.

Look at Russell Spa 21

Thats was qualifying, and the race went well?

Rain means more crashes, more safety cars, you may enjoy that, but for me I would like a dry race .

You did say the teams is narrow at places, imagine how tentatively drivers will racing .

We can't do much about the weather thou, rain or shine I will enjoy the race, I would prefer a dry race thats all.

And there's plenty races where the rain has caused carnage thou. I enjoy both wet and dry racing , but if I have to choose I would prefer clean dry races .I agree about the DRS is a curse of F1 right now, artificial overtakes ,its disgusting.

Weather forecast will be occasional rain showers so it might be mixed conditions which will actually be fun to watch normally with when to change to inters/slicks. Let's see, it might stay dry even, too early to tell.

Meh I like wet races it doesn't always bring tons of crashes.

Look at Turkey 2021 and Monaco 2022. Not a lot of crashes. Wet races and especially mixed condition races bring opportunities for strategist and drivers.

It gives drivers opportunities to shine instead of usual 80% car 20% driver it will be more like 65% car and 35% driver.

And the overpowered DRS is disabled. Which I always like.

You don't need the best car in the rain, because you won't be able to use the car's full potential. You need the skills, and you need strategy in a mixed wet/dry race. Rain is the great equaliser and has defined many great F1 races and drivers.

“There is no doubt that Ferrari and Red Bull have pushed the regulations in that regard, and we've respected it as the regulation was intended”

The chance of a clean race will be exponentially higher if Hamilton retires early.
