'I met Verstappen and immediately thought, "You're going to be as good as Senna"'
After Max Verstappen clinched his fourth Formula 1 title, the ongoing discussion of who is the best F1 driver of all time started to pick up momentum again. Peter Windsor and Cory Pesaturo listed all the legends in F1 in a YouTube video and came to one conclusion: Verstappen is definitely among the best drivers ever.
Pesaturo met Verstappen in 2015 and saw it immediately
Windsor agrees that Verstappen is among the best ever, despite the fact that the times are almost incomparable. "In Jim Clark's time, you had fewer races, the cars were less reliable than now, for example," he said. "Clark is also among one of the bests ever," Windsor added. Later in the video, the Australian starts talking about Verstappen and manages to mention that the Dutchman belongs in the same league as Clark, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.
Pesaturo - musician and F1 follower - reveals a wonderful story from 2015. He met Verstappen, who had then just signed with Toro Rosso at the age of 16. "I first met Max actually at Helmut Marko's house in 2015. And I felt then already, just by watching all his videos in F3 and all his previous races, I said, this guy is special. I told him that day, your ceiling is Senna."
Five races into his second season in F1, in 2016, Verstappen was promoted to Red Bull Racing. The Dutch driver has since won 63 races and four world titles. Verstappen also has a number of records to his name, including the youngest driver to win a Grand Prix, the most Grand Prix wins in a single season and the most Grand Prix wins in a row.

It bugs you doesn't it? How predictable the Verstappen media train always runs on time. I have not see any YouTube videos regarding Windsor in months, nor anything on this topic. But it's interesting that you presume I did. Still, I suppose guesswork to fuel your narrative is all you have really.

"because you where always saying it" Rent free is not a term I generally use or go with. I've only said it recently to people who bring me up in their posts on articles I've not even commented on. I think doing so is, in those circumstances, is more than fair. Nothing about this blog lives in my head, trust me. When I shut this page down, everything on here is blocked out as I move onto the next thing. Oh yes you can be sure to find at LEAST 10 topics in a week where I'm talking about Max. So what? And? I can do that. I'm allowed to 'rant' or criticise him all I want, am I not? I am allowed my opinions just as much as you are. There's no point complaining about it. It clearly bugs you otherwise you wouldn't take so much time to bug me about it so often. The only people who don't want Max rent free in my head are Max fans. I'm happy to keep him there. Yeah, when I saw Antonelli take top practice times in his first Mercedes F1 session, I was sold on him. The crashing part is of no concern. The outright speed was apparent and that is the critical element. The other stuff can be learned and refined. However, Legend may disagree with me because Antonelli might be "entitled" or have a foul mouth. Important stuff like that...
Yeah because what I agree or disagree with is so important to you isn't it? You constantly crave my attention like some needy ex girlfriend. Why don't we just arrange to have a selfie together and then you've got something to not only hold onto but it's something to stare at when you're feeling... y'know... :) Practice times are meaningless. But.. I'm reserving judgement on Antonelli until I see him on track. I hope he does brilliantly. I want him to be a future threat to your over-glorified Dutch-Belgian driver. The more of those we can have, the better. And if crashing is truly no concern, then we should have Colapinto in a driving seat too. The new generation needs to come through and rid us of the current one, who can't win without Teflon protection from his team and the FIA. Even my foul mouth is worse than Max's. I just don't do it in the wrong places like your hero does.

Oh god I hope not. Don't tell me Antonelli is going to be pushing drivers off the track, crashing into them, making miscalculated dive-bombs, swearing at and abusing his engineer and never recognising he's wrong. Or do you mean that he can turn a steering wheel and work the pedals?

Well guess there's a reason Peter left out a specific person. Think he knows.
Oooh getting angry now :) LOL. Hate for all drivers whilst making your home inside Max's butt cheeks. How many does that place house as so many of you seem to be up there. Did you see how many times has-been and less than talented drivers beat Max and either won or finished ahead of him in 2024? Doesn't say much about your manufactured, asterisk, human error, illegal-car running title-holder who is too scared to deal with a decent team-mate and can't drive clean under pressure. At 39 years old, Max will have long since left F1 and be a distant memory with his fans eternally disgruntled that he never did beat Lewis' records and couldn't even win a title with total legality.
IF you actually knew something about F1 , a person could contemplate about taking you seriously but since you have proven the opposite your posts make really amusing reading .
He really does eh? I called it though. I said we'd get this article today. Let's see if i'm lucky again... tomorrow.... Will Buxton or Joylon Palmer. One or both of those little know-it-all's. :) It's amazing how much fans thrive off these constant daily 'Max glorification' articles. And to compare Max to Senna at this stage just shows is all about making soundbites and headlines. Just like dolphins, it's all about the clicks.
Unlike the rest of media that still lives up the backside of some hasbeen, or some less than talented racer who just lost in the best car.
See your point, but what about Alessi, Andretti or Kristensen, could go on but what negative comment you have on these guys. and yes the all winners in big races
