Red Bull Racing will reportedly announce on Friday who will drive alongside
Max Verstappen in 2021, but online there already seem to be hints about the arrival of
Sergio Perez. This hint is almost impossible to miss.
Since the departure of
Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull has been struggling with the place of the second driver.
Max Verstappen is clearly the leader, but
Pierre Gasly and
Alexander Albon were both unable to keep up. Red Bull therefore seems to be looking for a replacement, although it cannot be ruled out that Albon may stay.
Perez on his way to Red Bull Racing
One of those possible replacements is
Sergio Perez. The Mexican finished fourth in the World Drivers' Championship, but still does not have a seat for 2021. The
Racing Point driver is therefore linked with
Red Bull Racing, especially after his victory in Sakhir.
After his brother previously showed a new Red Bull can on
Social Media, Sergio Perez's father is now also hinting. Christian Nimmervoll, author for Motorsport-total.com and others, has received a photo from a fan that Perez' father posted on his Twitter. You can see a can of Red Bull on it. Are these two things cheeky hints from the Perez family?
