It's time for the third and final practice session ahead of the
Bahrain Grand Prix. Unlike on Friday, the drivers won't have to drive compulsory laps on the new
Pirelli tyres. There will be an hour of preparation ahead of the qualifying session later on Saturday. With qualifying due to take place after sunset, the track conditions will be slightly different in FP3.

In the second free practice session,
Max Verstappen was able to show what he has to offer. The first session didn't go according to plan for the Dutchman due to problems with the RB16. In the evening session, Verstappen managed to come back and nestle between the times of the
Mercedes duo
Lewis Hamilton and
Valtteri Bottas. Alex Albon had a major crash under the floodlights, giving the Red Bull mechanics a lot of overnight work.
Hamilton was still more than three tenths faster than the Dutchman. In the meantime, there is no reason why Hamilton will not drive this session just that little bit faster.
