'Ferrari won't slow down and comes to Miami with major update'
- GPblog.com
Ferrari will reportedly introduce a new diffuser in Miami. The Italian racing stable plans to send two different cars onto the track during free practice(s), with different set-ups as well as different diffusers. So reports Motorsport.it.
Team boss Fred Vasseur is said to have regarded the Azerbaijan Grand Prix as encouraging. And rightly so. With two pole positions for Charles Lelerc, the Italians came out positively. But where the SF23 was blazing fast over one lap, speed during the race remained lacking.
Updates for Ferrari
The Frenchman has told his engineers not to hold back. Ferrari is fully committed to developing their car. So, hoping to get more speed on the straights, the team will introduce a new diffuser in Miami. Two weeks later, in Imola, the rear of the car will get even more updates. The Italians hope to take small steps towards Red Bull with the new modifications. After all, the Austrians were also the team to beat in Baku, especially during the race.
