Russell takes a dig at this F1 driver: 'Can't get away from this guy'

Russell jokes with Albon online over the gym

In a recent interview with Canal+, some of the F1 drivers were asked which driver was most likely to be found in the gym, to which they all replied with George Russell. Living up to his expectations, Russell has since shared a picture of him in the gym with Alex Albon, and made a slight dig towards the Williams driver.

In their interview with Canal+ over the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, both McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, as well as Red Bull's Max Vertsappen, were asked which F1 driver was most likely to be found in the gym. All three were in agreement over Russell. They even joked about how you know when he is in the gym.

"I've seen George post a few times when he is in the gym," Piastri said, to which Norris added: “George is the guy who goes to the gym and makes sure he posts on Instagram ‘Look I’m in the gym’.” Verstappen even joked how the Mercedes driver's busy workout schedule has got in the way of meeting up: "We have invited him many times to padel but sometimes his training schedule didn’t allow him to go to padel."

Russell certainly lived up to his expectations after sharing a few snaps on social media of him in the gym. On Thursday, the first showed him working out with Albon, and was captioned: 'Can't get away from this guy'.
