Daniel Ricciardo has dropped a new hint at what his career could look like for him after Formula One. The
Visa Cash App RB driver announced he has signed a new deal with Dan Murphy's stores in Australia, stocking his own line of DR3 wines.
Ricciardo launched DR3 wines in 2021, when he collaborated with Barossa Valley's St Hugo to create his line of wines, named after his initials and
F1 number. In the new video released by the Australian driver, which announces his partnership with Dan Murphy's stores, Ricciardo appears to have misunderstood the deal between the two due to a broken phone line - he believes he is taking over an entire store, when in reality he has been given a shelf. The advertisement then jokes at Ricciardo re-branding the store to 'Dan Ricciardo's'.
This is not the first time Ricciardo has hinted at what life could be like for him after
F1. In May, it was revealed that the Visa Cash App RB driver was entering the world of film and television. The 35-year-old will serve as an
executive producer on the pilot 'Downforce', which is expected to follow what happens when the heiress to a dynastic racing team is thrust back into the family business. The comedy pilot has been ordered by Hulu.
Could Ricciardo retire from Formula One?
The Australian driver is yet to announce his plans for 2025. Visa Cash App RB have already announced the re-signing of his teammate
Yuki Tsunoda, and the
Red Bull Racing seat which he had hoped for had been given to
Sergio Perez who signed another two year deal. Nevertheless, it has been suggested that should Perez not perform, he could be replaced by Ricciardo.
Helmut Marko has also hinted that there is
little chance of the Australian remaining with VCARB next year, given it is a junior team, with Liam Lawson being the logical choice for the seat in 2025.
