Mercedes will unveil the new F1 car for the 2025 season on Monday 24 February, which has just been announced by the German team. Incidentally, the new livery of the W16 will be revealed earlier. This will happen on 18 February during the F1 event in the London O2 Arena.

The team of Andrea Kimi Antonelli and George Russell will not hold a press conference or livestream for the launch. On that Monday, the first images of the W16 will be shared via their own social media channels, the day before the car can be found on the circuit for the first time.

Mercedes already announced filming day

Mercedes have already decided to hold a filming day on the day before the three-day test in Bahrain starts. Those test days are from 26 to 28 February, which means that the filming day is on 25 February. Then there will be a shakedown of the W16 to see if all systems are working as hoped.

In Bahrain, Mercedes hopes to see during the tests that the new car is one with which it can at least compete for victories, something they have not been able to do consistently since the 2021 season.
