Kvyat is looking forward to Dutch GP: "Qualifying at Zandvoort will be great"

Daniil Kvyat feels like returning to Circuit Zandvoort. That's what the driver of AlphaTauri said this week in an interview at Instagram with Pirelli. The Russian already won seven years ago, when he was active in Formula 3, on the Dutch circuit.

"I love the circuit. It was great. I think it was probably very cool because it's so old-fashioned, it was great fun", Kvyat says. The Formula 1 driver is of the opinion that there should be more circuits like Zandvoort on the calendar of the king's class of motor racing. "It's different, you know. We need tracks like this now, really those old-school laps."

Kvyat's looking forward to qualifying at the Dutch Grand Prix.

Kvyat is especially looking forward to the Saturday of the Grand Prix in the Netherlands. Then the drivers will fight for pole position and the Formula 1 cars will be very fast. "I think they have now adapted a few small things to meet modern safety standards. We will see what it is like in Formula 1. I still think qualifying is going to be really cool", Kvyat is very excited.

Whether it will be possible to catch up with them at Zandvoort, that's still to be seen. In any case, with the renovations everything has been done to promote that. "We'll have to wait and see. In any case, the straights were always quite short. Maybe the DRS will help, I am curious what will be possible", the 25-year old driver concludes
