Gasly won't give up on Red Bull dream for the time being

Pierre Gasly hopes to drive a Red Bull Racing car again in the future. Although he was with the team for twelve races in 2019, he had to move back to the smaller team from Faenza during the season. In the coming years, he hopes to grow back to the top.
This season the driver is working for AlphaTauri, where he likes it. Yet he hopes for more. "I think there is only one answer to that question," he stated in an interview with Motorsport. "You know, personally I'm in Formula 1 to compete at the top. I work every day to become the best driver I can be, to one day fight for the championship, to fight more consistently for podiums and victories."
Should Gasly not get the chance to compete at the front at Red Bull, a departure is also a possibility. "I think if there is a will to work together, I will be really happy with that. And if that will is not there, then there will be other options. But for now, the most important thing is to be competitive, to put in strong performances and show good results. And then we'll see what the possibilities are later on."
Season start Gasly
During the last two races, Gasly drove in the points twice. Whereas he failed to finish in Bahrain, he finished seventh in Imola. In Portugal, Gasly finished tenth.
