After having one driver dedicated to each day in the first week of pre-season testing, Ferrari are set to alternate between both drivers on each day, with one driving in the morning session and one in the afternoon.
The new order for next week, confirmed by Ferrari themselves, sees Charles Leclerc hopping in the SF90 on Tuesday morning and Sebastian Vettel in the afternoon. On Wednesday, that order reverses, so Vettel does the morning and Leclerc does the afternoon, and so forth.
Typically, Ferrari always dedicate one full day to a driver, and some people do doubt the new system as it takes more prep work over the lunch break. However, Mercedes have used this tactic for many years now, and it hasn't worked out badly for them in the past few years.
Ferrari looked like the strongest team in the first week of testing, but with the engines not running at full capacity yet, this could change come next week. Let's see how Ferrari hold up when performance programs get run by all the teams!
