Force India are bringing an upgraded aero package to Singapore for this weekend's Grand Prix...
"We have more performance to bring to the car this weekend with an updated aero package," team principal Otmar Szafnauer said.
The new parts are set to be tested during free practice sessions and then the team will decide whether its performance is good enough for qualifying and the actual race.
"It's never easy to introduce and understand new parts during Friday practice," Szafnauer revealed. "But hopefully we can unlock some performance straight away."
This definitely will not be the last bit of updating the car now that Force India are on even terms regarding their finances following their recent takeover from Lawrence Stroll and his consortium.
"Beyond Singapore, we hope the developments will keep us competitive as we begin the final third of the season," Szafnauer admitted.
The team were stripped of all their points and shot down to bottom of the table when they were took over but a seriously good run of form has seen the team climb up to seventh.
"32 points combined from Spa and Monza is an excellent effort," Szafnauer said. "The team deserves credit for performing so well after the uncertainty that surrounded us in August.
"We arrive in Singapore after two strong weekends where we maximized what was available to us."
