Christian Horner, team boss of the Red Bull Racing team, is happy with the tie-up with AlphaTauri. He does hope, however, that the team will experience further growth, with AlphaTauri currently sitting last in the constructors' championship. However, change is already on the way.
It was recently revealed that a lot is going to change for AlphaTauri next season. For instance, the team will work more closely with sister team Red Bull Racing. For instance, they will share wind tunnel data, and AlphaTauri will get more parts from the main team. During Friday's FIA press conference, the team boss was asked how he sees the team's future. "I think we've always enjoyed a strong relationship with AlphaTauri. They have produced some incredible young talent for us. We expect to see that hopefully grow in the future within the realms of what is possible and what isn't. Everything evolves, and everything changes with time", Horner said.

The first big changes for AlphaTauri

Besides the closer collaboration, more is going to change for the team itself, with the AlphaTauri name no longer being found on the grid next season being one of the biggest changes. Besides a different name, the team will also get a new team boss.
Franz Tost, AlphaTauri's current team principal, indicated at the beginning of the season that he no longer wanted to be team principal after 2023. In his place will come Laurent Mekies of Ferrari and Peter Bayer. "We look forward to working with Laurent and Peter in the future, but it's been great working with Franz during these past 18 or 19 years," Horner said.
