Haas F1's Kevin Magnussen has been summoned by the stewards, as the Dane, who is four points away on his racing licence from a suspension, impeded Charles Leclerc during FP1.
The rookie was angry with Magnussen, as he clearly impeded Leclerc in the final stages of Free Practice. The Haas driver wasn't even on a hot lap, but still aggressively steered towards Leclerc and almost crashed into him.
"Magnussen needs to understand that he is not alone on the track,” Leclerc said after FP1.
“I mean honestly he is on a slow lap and he stays on the line.
“Every time it is him, every time.”
The Monegasque rookie already seems fed up with Magnussen only four races and a practice into his F1-career. The stewards seem to agree with Leclerc though, as Magnussen has been summoned to answer the charge of “unnecessarily impeding car 16 (Leclerc) and a potentially dangerous manoeuvre.”
Magnussen already has eight penalty points on his racing licence, and twelve gives you an automatic suspension. Could this be it for the Dane?
