Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen insists that he is not thinking about his new team Sauber yet and is determined that Ferrari can still win this season's Constructors' Championship.
Raikkonen only has six Grands Prix left for Ferrari and he is eager to go out leaving the best impression possible.
Antonio Giovinazzi will be Raikkonen's team-mate for Sauber next season but the Iceman insisted that he has not thought about next season just yet with all of his attention on this weekend's race at Sochi.
"I have not thought about that yet (teaming up with Giovinazzi)," Raikkonen explained to Motorsport.com. "At the moment, I have to try and finish the year in the best possible way, then we'll see what heppens in 2019. It makes no difference to me.
"The goal is to push as hard as possible and try to maximise every race. We always try to get the best result possible. We have rules that we know, but if we want to win a championship we have to be as close as possible with two cars."
Raikkonen was asked whether he has thought about the possibility of 2019 seeing the Finn having to compete against more drivers down at the bottom of the grid, but the soon-to-be Sauber man's attention is with Scuderia at the moment.
"Not exactly. As I said, I have not thought about the next year yet," Raikkonen insisted. "Then there will also be changes to technical regulations, we will see who will be stronger."
