Wolff believes that the championship order in 2019 is 'up in the air'

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff believes that the order of the championship will look very different in 2019.

Wolff believes that the 2019 rule changes could lead to a different team becoming more successful. Mercedes have dominated since to introduction of the power unit's in 2014 and it seems as if they believe that another team is going to knock them off their perch.  

The 2019 rule changes should make Formula 1 more exciting as overtaking is set to increase by 20%. If a team can really make the most of these changes then we could see a different team at the top of the championship in 2019.

Speaking to grandpx.news Wolff said, “With the new regulations, it’s up in the air if somebody else could be competitive, but we very much embrace the challenge, we enjoy the fight,” said Wolff. “It’s why we’re here.”

Ferrari came close to beating Mercedes this year but were still a way of in reality. It will be interesting to see if Wolff's prediction comes true or if he is just playing mind games with the media.
