Spa and Suzuka are in doubt for running in 2019 after a deal is yet to be finalised. Both circuits are iconic in the F1 world after a myriad of classic races took place at both venues.
The current number of races in an F1 season is 21. This is the most amount of races seen. Prior to Bernie Ecclestone’s departure, decisions were made to remove the Malaysian Grand Prix and add the French.
Losing the Belgian Grand Prix, in particular, would be tough on loyal and traditional F1 fans.
But they shouldn’t really need to worry, as when Liberty Media suggested they wanted to expand the race calendar beyond 21 races. This means there’s plenty of scope for its inclusion for 2019.
