According to the
Miami Herald an incident involving electricity occurred at Hard Rock Stadium, which is the setting for the Grand Prix next week. In a response, the police told the newspaper that they could not say exactly what happened, but that both were busy preparing for the race.
The two, who Miami-Dade police say are employees of the stadium, were transferd to the hospital. One seriously injured victim was taken by helicopter, the other by ambulance. They suffered burns, but were not in critical condition. There was also no damage to the stadium.
Expectations for the
Miami Grand Prix are high. The race is completely sold out, despite the high ticket prices. The race will be held around the stadium where the Miami Dolphins play their home games.
