After the conclusion of the two scheduled sessions for the Friday of the Japanese Grand Prix, two teams had to go to the stewards.

The team managers of Ferrari and Aston Martin were both called to the stewards at the Suzuka Circuit.

The reason was the alleged breach of the International Sporting Code and the non-compliance with the Race Director's Event Notes during FP2.

During the session, it already appeared on screen that the two teams were noted after Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton completed their practice starts.
