Max Verstappen had a little moment with his teammate Daniel Ricciardo on Saturday, as the Aussie didn't want to tow Verstappen and the Dutchman refused to do so too, but he now says that everything is fine between the two teammates.
The 20-year-old Verstappen explained to Laola1 that there is no bad blood between him and Ricciardo, even though things did get a little bit heated on the Red Bull Ring during Q3.
"Everybody wants to beat the other [driver of your team] and have some advantages, but if the agreement is there, then you should stick to it," Verstappen defended himself.
Red Bull have always had the plan of the two drivers alternating every race with the towing. This weekend, it was Ricciardo's turn to tow Verstappen and allow him to have a better time, but the Aussie didn't want to.
"It was my turn at Le Castellet and Daniel benefited, so this time, his job was actually to do the same for me, it's very simple," Verstappen continued.
However, this little incident hasn't changed the relationship between the two drivers.
"Between Daniel and me everything is okay," the Dutchman assured.
Verstappen qualified in fifth but will start from fourth, as Sebastian Vettel got demoted three places for obstructing Carlos Sainz in Q2. Ricciardo will start from P7, three places behind his Dutch teammate.
