Max Verstappen was not pleased at all with Red Bull's speed on the straights at Silverstone on Sunday.
"Yeah, it was good fun," Verstappen said to Channel 4 when asked about his battle with Kimi Raikkonen.
"I don't think it's completely fair, because it looked like we were 20km down in the straight.
"It feels like you're driving with an F2 engine against an F1 engine.
"It's been hard this weekend, we couldn't really do much because of the deficit on the straights."
Him and his team mate Daniel Ricciardo were behind the Mercedes and Ferrari drivers significantly and the safety cars that were called onto the track couldn't even help the Red Bull pair to compete with them.
The Dutchman then spoke about the reason for his retirement and how it all came about:
"I had a problem with the brake-by-wire," Verstappen confirmed.
"And then I recovered and after the second safety car I braked and then the pedal fell to the floor and the rear brakes locked up and then I span off the track, it was game over."
