Mark Webber believes Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo will remain with the side next season despite speculation about the Australian's future.
Ricciardo has been linked with a move away from Red Bull, with the likes of Ferrari and McLaren interested in the 29-year-old's services.
His contract is due to run out at the end of this year.
Ricciardo replaced Mark Webber at Red Bull back in 2013 when whe latter retired from the sport.
Webber believes that Ricciardo will stay put at Red Bull.
"I'd imagine he'll be staying," Webber said to Speedcafe.com.
"I don't know how long obviously that commitment will be, but, let's see.
"It was worth waiting but (he's) probably going to stay where he is.
"He's in that sensational window at the moment where his stock is very, very high but we all know Lewis Hamilton is the main man.
"I mean, there is still main men, and that's what Formula 1 can be like, and you've got to sort of be in the right place, (at the) right time in a way to get those opportunities."
Ricciardo doesn't want to downgrade if he leaves Red Bull, and the only way to do that is by joining either Mercedes or Ferrari.
Mercedes are expected to retain both of their drivers; Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.
Ferrari have Sebastian Vettel and it looks like they already have a replacement lined up for Kimi Raikkonen in Sauber youngster Charles Leclerc.
