Aston Martin has had a disappointing start to the season. Where the team hoped to improve on last race year, it is still without points. According to Gerhard Berger, however, there is no need to panic just yet, as he tells Speedweek.com.
The racing team was not so lucky in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Sebastian Vettel was told just before the opening race that he was infected with the coronavirus, so he had to skip two races. Nico Hulkenberg failed to finish in the top ten during those weeks.

Aston Martin hopes for change

With Vettel in the ranks for the Australian GP, Aston Martin is hoping to find its way up quickly. That seems to be complicated, however, as the fight in Formula 1's midfield is greater than ever this season. Nevertheless, the Austrian thinks that Aston Martin can still return this season.
"You have to give the teams and drivers half a season to adapt to the new regulations," Berger reveals. "Vettel knows his environment, he knows how fast Stroll is. He has no pressure. It will depend on whether the adjustments to the car work and whether the car gets into the midfield with his help."
