The Azerbaijan Grand Prix ended under the virtual safety car because Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz crashed at the end. The two drivers were fighting for the podium places and potentially even the win in Baku, but it all ended in tears. The two drivers ended in the wall, after a string of incidents between the two of them this weekend in Baku.
Pérez had an amazing race, he seems to have found good form in the RB20. The crash was unfortunate, I would say it's a racing incident, both drivers could have avoided the incident but neither backed out.
Sianz took the defensive line and Pérez refused to take evasive action, so racing incident.
100% Sainz' fault. He drifted over to his left. Perez is under no obligation to move over. Jacques Villeneueve said on a post race show that the rules say so too, that you cannot crowd another car.
You haven't been on the podium in 11 races.....you have a chance to overtake Carlos....
Do you A)Make sure you cleanly overtake him when there is plenty of space on the left.
Or B)Stay as close to his left rear wheel with your right front, knowing you are in his blindspot and that any slight movement will lead to contact.....?
Oh Checo.....time to try something else, like a Tacobus.
