After an incident between
Max Verstappen and
Isack Hadjar during the qualifying session for the
Chinese Grand Prix, the two were called to the
FIA Stewards. Hadjar has been accused of an unsafe release that allegedly hindered Verstappen.
Verstappen and Hadjar to stewards in China
The incident was shown on screen during qualifying at the
Shanghai International Circuit. Verstappen was driving in the fast lane when
Racing Bulls let Hadjar go, but as the coast was not clear, Verstappen ended up having to quickly swerve to avoid a collision with the rookie. Both drivers have now been called to the stewards to give their side of the story.
They are not the only two drivers making a trip to the stewards as Oliver Bearman may also be in trouble. The Haas driver must report to the stewards for allegedly obstructing
Lance Stroll during qualifying.
