Jordan is incorrigible: 'Lewis Hamilton should go to Ferrari'

Eddie Jordan believes there are only two options for Lewis Hamilton going forward and they are sticking with Mercedes or making the jump to rivals in red, Ferrari.

In an interview with OLGB Jordan is asked about the situation surrounding Hamilton and Mercedes. He believes there are only two possible moves for the multiple Formula One champion.

"The only other places I see Hamilton going is Ferrari or staying at Mercedes. At the moment, there's no contract signed and Toto Wolff said if he was Hamilton he would consider leaving." Jordan said.

Criticism of Toto Wolff

There is also a lot of criticism of Toto Wolff coming from the Irishman. "The book starts with him, Wolff should face the criticism like a man, like a team boss, like a chief executive and face up to the fact that Mercedes have got it wrong," Jordan said.

Jordan also commented on the pressure Leclerc will be under at Ferrari, and couldn't resist a jab at Mercedes. "We still have not seen enough from Leclerc for me to say otherwise, but the pressure of driving for Ferrari is huge. If Leclerc went to a smaller team like Mercedes, you would see fireworks from him."

That's not gonna happen. Lewis is going to retire within the next 1-2 years and Mercedes will try to replace him with Norris.

Eddie Jordan has lost the plot!!
Why would Ferrari exchange any of their two talented drivers for the mediocrity of Hamilton?
Ferrari's problems are certainly not the drivers.

I agree completely _ Hamilton's true ability is best illustrated by his time with McClaren .

To be fair he's definitely improved since then and realistically he would currently rank around 7-8 in most people's view.
Biggest issue is he is now on the downward slide of his career whilst the top 4-5 drivers headed by Max haven't yet reached their peak.

Lewis stays at merc for 2024 to see where Ferrari and merc are in tge pecking order.

Carlos contract is up after 2024
Charles contract up after 2025

Granted, binding ontracts aren't worth the paper they are signed on so who knows.

Doesn't matter, Lewis has confirmed he's not leaving until he gets no 8.
I haven't checked but in 2025 hell be in his mid 40's.

I'm not so sure. If he is fixated on the 8th as a goal he may jump on a horse if he believes its the only way.

In comparison to Ferrari they are a smaller with just 8 trophies. Ferrari are a monument in F1 in so many ways. Their history is much more interesting.

Mercedes-
Gps entered- 273
Gps won- 125
Win percentage ~ 46%
Team since 2010
Wcc-8
Wdc-7
Mercedes group -
Revenue- 134 billion euro

Scuderia ferrari-
Gps entered- 1053
Gps won- 241

Last winless streak before 2007 - 21years(wdc)

By all means ferrari is an iconic team and the oldest. Hell i root for ferrari as well. But mercedes is not only way bigger in revenue(talking about entity as a whole not just motorsports for both) but also in success!
Not trying to demean ferrari but facts only.

Mercedes has been racing in F1 since 1954 your stats are cherry picked from a biased opinion. They won drivers championship before Toto era but never a constructors.

STOP BREEDING FANBOYS.

Mercedes amg petronas as a works team started racing in 2010 and also list their founding year the same.

Get knowledgeable on this subject before you can call me a troll.

Sorry to say Mercedes has the exact number of starts and wins including that time period too! So shut up and carry on with your trolling on someone else!

Never say never, but as it looks like right now, I personally don't see this happen.

Rob01 22 March 2023 at 20:29+ 6151

Yeah, jump out of Mercedes into the mess that Ferrari has been in for years. If they could keep the car on the track then maybe it sounds like a decent move but the start of this year gives no indication they have that corrected.

There is always a third option of just retiring from F1 like what Seb, Kimi and many many elderly drivers normally do when they get old!

F1 Rick 23 March 2023 at 14:48+ 1294

True, but Padrè Alonso changed that narrative.

I suspect he'll only make it a bigger mess.
SF fans won't allow it to start with.
SF already have 2 younger and proven better drivers than to bring a downward sliding aging Hamilton who is the only driver in the top 3 teams that hasnt won a race since 2021.

Ferrari needs a #blessing I'm not fond of Lewis, but it would be interesting. Even for him
