FIA declares Mercedes engine legal after Red Bull questions top speed
Last weekend it became clear that Mercedes has found extra speed. On the straights Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton were fifteen to twenty kilometres per hour faster than the Red Bulls. The team has therefore asked questions to the FIA, but Helmut Marko reveals the truth.
Bottas drove to a dominant victory and Max Verstappen had no chance to attempt overtaking. Hamilton, who started from P11 following his combustion engine change, was also very fast during qualifying and the race in Turkey. Despite Verstappen regaining the lead in the championship, Red Bull are concerned about Mercedes' sudden speed.
Christian Horner said that Red Bull has not protested against the Mercedes engine, but that they have asked the FIA to check everything. Red Bull and Mercedes have been filing protests with the FIA all season. After the fourth race Mercedes complained about Red Bull's aerodynamics and after the British Grand Prix Red Bull filed a protest to review Hamilton's penalty.
Nothing illegal going on
Speaking to Motorsport-Magazin.com Helmut Marko confirms that there is nothing illegal going on with Mercedes' engine. "It's all approved by the FIA. We have to accept their decision." So it's up to Red Bull to find out why they were slower than Mercedes in Turkey.

If they get caught. It's simple they will loose both the championship constructors and driver's WC. FIA should do thorough investigation. I'm sure that poached resources from Mercedes are giving this info to Christian and Helmut.
Of course they declared it legal if their view of Silverstone is an indication of their standards.
This was inevitable, the Mercedes party modes, and cooling technology have been unleashed for the rest of the season. Lewis has few engines to use if needed, so let's get in there Lewis. AUSTIN its gonna be carnage with a Mercedes 1,2. Unless 4vs1 is employed or a repeat of Monza. You never know with the nervous Max.

Remember that the other guy does have his 4vs1 team to assist him, and like you say Lewis must make mistakes for the other guy to win. Wow this guy needs to many things to happen for him. Really the best driver on track,more like the most entitled.
All we need to know is that Ferrari engine was also "legal". It was so legal, that everything about that was made top secret. It was so legal that Ferrari stopped winning races and getting even podiums after they got caught with that "legal" engine.
Show us proof of this, or remain silent and confirm your troll status.
I remember Leclerc gaining crazy amount of speed before going into spoon at Sazuka 2019. I remember Vettel pulling away like a rocket going down the back straight in with car 44 in tow with DRS OPEN at Canada 2019. I watched in person car 16's engine go BOOM right at the triple apex the morning the FIA dropped the technical directive/bomb of Ferrari cheating the fuel flow monitor. So when the FIA say's Merc's PU is legal, it has been looked into.

Asking the fia, which favors mercedes all season long to check the mercedes is kind of retorical. Even if they did cheat, they are not going to restrict mercedes. Everyone with 2 eyes can see the obvious bias the fia showed this season.
If there was a bias RBR wouid have left the sport, who wants to compete in a competition where it's all decided as some think here? F1 is the pinnacle of motor sport, saying it's biased towards a driver is idiotic
You have eyes, do you? It started with biased tracklimits in bahrain, to pirelli bringing new tyre wear, to lenient penalties, to behind the scenes slapping RB on the wrist etc etc. The fia has just as in footbal fifa has, one goal. Sell the sport, and succes sells.
I'm very curious to see how RB responds in the upcoming race. They have 2 weeks to figure it out...I have faith and hope.
I have none. Honda stole a march with their fine PU this season. They even stole a march on Merc with regards to the ERS (not clipping/de-rating as much as Merc), and took it further with another ERS upgrade a few races back. Merc have found something huge on the ICE side. Look at the size of the rear wing of car 44 and the top speed. That is where Ferrari was in Canada 2019 (NEVER FORGET). This sets up for the next 4 years. The hope is that Honda finds something. Or you lose some DF on the RB. One of the two needs to happen.
Why should anybody trust any team principal, if anybody is unhappy with anything, they should just lodge a protest, but one with substance, but not for example a movie with a junior driver playing the role of a DWC
guess you guys are a bit biased. Red Bull and Mercedes have been filing protests with the FIA all season. guess you forgot to read MERCEDES in this sentence... but we already know Mercedes (LH fans) aren't the sporty ones:-)

The teams complain about eachother, if it was two different teams competing for the championships they would be complaining about eachother.i fully agree with you.
Ah, but the difference is when Mercedes complains, something gets done, like rules for new rear wings and better side wall tyres. When there is a complain against Mercedes, FIA closed an eye and says everything is ok.
The FIA doesn't make any decisions to specifically benefit Mercedes or any other team at all. They investigate, research, and implement changes that they believe are necessary

Mercedes protested on the rear wings because they were NOT according to the rules, as for the better side walls, it came after Baku...after Max had an accident, how can that be Mercedes? The haters always love a conspiracy theory to prove a stupid point.
