Valtteri Bottas has taken his first pole position of the season in Austria, and the Fin has vowed that he will be
"hungry" to convert that pole into a win tomorrow during the Grand Prix.
Everybody expected his teammate Lewis Hamilton to run away with pole, but it was Bottas who took Q3 by the scruff of the neck from start to finish. He set the pace on his first lap, and never got beaten ever since. As the checkered flag was waved, he even improved on his time, just in case someone else was planning to steal it from him.
Bottas still hasn't won a race this season, which is why he has vowed that he'll be at his very best come race time tomorrow.
"I can guarantee nobody will be more hungry for the win than me," Bottas told Sky Sports F1 after climbing out of his car.
Lewis Hamilton quickly added to Bottas's statement when he got asked about his time.
"Valtteri deserves it," the championship leader said to Mark Webber.
Will he take tomorrow's race as well? Only time can tell us that!
