Vettel on P3: "We're behind right now"

Sebastian Vettel has expressed his concerns about Ferrari's pace compared to Mercedes, as the Silver Arrows clearly had the faster car in qualifying as they took another one-two.
The German had to make do with a third place on the grid tomorrow, just like in France. That didn't go well at the start, however, as he turned into Valtteri Bottas in the first turn, dropping him down to P17 as well as getting a penalty handed to him.
Also, just like in France, Vettel will be on a softer compound than the cars in front of him. Both Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen will start on the ultra softs, the softest tyres available in Austria, while both Mercedes cars (as well as the Red Bulls) will start on the supersofts.
"I think there was a little bit more than me but I don't think it was enough pace in hand to be a threat today," Vettel said at the press conference.
"I think we need to make sure that we improve from where we are.
"I think in qualy, we are little bit behind right now.
"For tomorrow I think the car should be stronger in the race so it should be a close fight."
Another wrinkle to this story is that Vettel might be handed a penalty, as he's currently still under investigation. More on that will come later, when the stewards will have made their decision.
