Mercedes confirm eyewear partnership with Police

Mercedes have confirmed a new partnership with eyewear brand Police which will see the brand work with World Champion Lewis Hamilton to create an eyewear collection.

The deal will see the eyewear brand from Group De Rigo work on a number of projects with the Formula 1 team including providing eyewear for the entire team from the drivers to the behind the scenes crew.

The Police logo will also feature on the side of all of the team's helmets from now on, as well as being on the visor and in the team garage.

In a press release, Mercedes said of the new deal: "We’re delighted to announce a partnership with Police, the lifestyle brand of Group De Rigo, a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-quality eyewear.

"The agreement with Police will see it debut as an official supplier to our team. Police sunglasses and optical frames will be worn by our race drivers Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas and the rest of the Mercedes team as part of the new deal."

They also confirmed that Lewis Hamilton will work closely with the Police brand to produce an eyewear collection adding: "Meanwhile, this new partnership will be complemented by the upcoming launch of an eyewear collection designed in collaboration with Lewis."
