Romain Grosjean has been out-raced by his team-mate twice this season. Claims coming from the media and fans this week suggested that Magnussen is the better driver. These have been squatted by Guenther Steiner.
Steiner insists that Grosjean hasn’t been able to set his car up to the perfect setting for racing. The balance has been hard to find for the French man, but Steiner believes he will sort this out.
“I think Romain is more (that) the car needs to be perfect to his liking while Kevin can drive around a lot of things,” Steiner explained.
“If you have the perfect car (Grosjean) is fantastic but Kevin sometimes maybe says ‘it’s ok.’
“We just need to get them both into their zone where they can perform because they can perform.”
Haas has been looking to be more consistent in 2018 and had the pit-stops gone right in Australia, consistency would have been right up there. But in the battle for fourth, they are going to need Grosjean to find the right balance pretty quickly!
