Qualifying in
Formula 1 will take place on Saturday, although for
Yuki Tsunoda in Canada it is not necessary. The Japanese driver has so many new parts on his car that he is guaranteed to start at the back of the field.
Tsunoda is the first driver to know for sure where he will start on Sunday. The AlphaTauri driver has put a fourth ICE, fourth turbo, fourth MGU-H and fourth MGU-K on his car. Due to all the new parts, the
FIA has decided that Tsunoda will have to start Sunday's race from the last spot on the grid.
There is still a plausible chance that AlphaTauri will choose to have Tsunoda start from the pits. In this way, the young driver will at least avoid the chaos of the first few turns at
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
