Despite some questionable strategic decisions and a disappointing result because of it during the Singapore Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel has acknowledged that he still backs Ferrari as a team.
The German started from third in the race, but quickly overtook Max Verstappen for second place. It looked to be a case of him catching and overtaking Lewis Hamilton afterwards, but Hamilton pulled away from Vettel, despite Ferrari's supposedly quicker package.
After a poor pit stop, both in timing and in tyre selection, Vettel even went back down to third thanks to some superb defending from Verstappen, who came out of the pit just in front of the Ferrari.
Still, Vettel backs Ferrari as a team, and he says to never to question the team.
"I will always defend the team," he said at the press conference.
"The decisions we took in the race, to try and be aggressive, were to try and win the race and when it works it’s great.
"But overall we had a very strong package, both Kimi and myself looked very competitive throughout practice, but in the end the race result we finished third and fifth.
"Like yesterday, not where the speed of our car belongs.
"That’s what I mean when I said we didn’t get everything out of ourselves."
