Carlos Sainz’s move to
Ferrari next season is not without reason, says
McLaren team boss
Andreas Seidl. In Turkey the Spaniard again managed to show his best side despite the difficult conditions.
To
Motorsport.com, Seidl explains why
Ferrari was interested in the driver, which according to him has several reasons.
"We already knew from the past few years that he loves these tough, wet conditions, that he performs well in them and that he has the talent to take the right amount of risks," argues Seidl, in view of the Turkish GP.
"He's keeping the car on the track while making progress, that's just a big plus."According to Seidl, the motivation of Sainz is also one of the reasons why the Scuderia offered him a seat: "He is completely dedicated and that is very motivating for the team. I think that is also very important for the results we are achieving with him at the moment."
Next to Leclerc
Next season Sainz will represent the Ferrari team alongside
Charles Leclerc. How this will affect him remains to be seen, especially considering that Ferrari seems to be fully committed to Leclerc as the first driver, and will be tuning the car to his talents.
