Top teams warned: 'That will be relentless'

The Formula 1 teams will have the opportunity in the coming days in Bahrain to get ready for the new racing year. It is expected that Mercedes, Red Bull Racing, McLaren and Ferrari will have a chance to win the world title. Lawrence Barretto expects a great development race during the season.

In a week and a half, the first Grand Prix in Bahrain is scheduled, where all teams will be at full strength at the start. However, Barretto does not think that we will be able to make a complete analysis of the driver field already then, as the Formula One teams will be developing the car for much of the season.

"With a new formula, development is expected to be relentless though the season, so a team that starts strongly may not finish strongly," Barretto stressed. "Equally, a team that is strong on one type of track may not necessarily be as quick at the next with a different configuration."
