Isack Hadjar will make his debut in Formula 1 for the Visa Cash App RB team in 2025. The Frenchman will become Yuki Tsunoda's new teammate after Liam Lawson was promoted to Red Bull Racing. Who exactly is Isack Hadjar and what has he achieved in his junior career?

Isack Hadjar was born on 28 September 2004 in Paris. He has both French and Algerian citizenship but races under the French flag.

Hadjar's early career:

Hadjar started karting in 2015, and in 2019, he made his single-seater debut in French Formula 4. He won his first race that season at the legendary Spa Francorchamps circuit. With 118 points, he finished seventh in the standings.

In 2020, the Frenchman competed in the United Arab Emirates Formula 4 championship. Here, he drove two of the five-race weekends, and his best result was fourth place. With 56 points, he finished 11th in the standings.

At the same time, he also raced in French F4. He took three victories and stood on the podium eight times. He eventually finished third in the championship.

In 2021, Hadjar switched to the Asian Formula 3 championship. Here, he took five podium finishes and finished sixth in the final standings with 95 points. This year, the Frenchman was also active in the Formula Regional European Championship. He won two races, took four more podium finishes and finished fifth in the standings with 166 points.

Part of Red Bull's junior stable:

2022 was an important year for the Frenchman. He was included in the Red Bull Junior Team for the first time. Hadjar was active in the Formula Regional Asian Championship that year, in which he won two races, took three podium finishes and eventually finished third with 134 points.

He also made his debut in Formula 3, driving for Hitech. He immediately won his first race in Bahrain and then twice more that season. Taking two more podium finishes, he finished fourth with 123 points.

In 2023, Hadjar made his debut in Formula 2 with Hitech. He had a difficult season, with only a podium in Austria. With 55 points, he finished 14th in the standings. The Frenchman also raced in F2 in 2024 but with Campos Racing. This season was a lot more successful, and Hadjar had a chance of winning the title until the last race of the season. Title winner Gabriel Bortoleto will be on the F1 grid in 2025 with Sauber.

In 2025, the Frenchman will make his debut in Formula 1 with Visa Cash App RB. He will be Yuki Tsunoda's teammate. Hadjar has already had the opportunity to drive three free practice sessions in F1, namely FP1 at Mexico in 2023, FP1 at Silverstone in 2024 and FP1 at Abu Dhabi in 2024.
